Make sure you get a signed copy of the estimate for the repairs. You also need to make sure that the contract contains a clause that the shop must contact you before exceeding the total on the estimate. This will protect you from getting a surprise bill once work is completed.

Make sure that you always keep a spare tire and jack in your vehicle. Many cars will come with these straight off of the dealership's floor. This way you won't get stuck anywhere and need to pay someone to tow you. It's cheaper to do on your own.

Steering Wheel

In case you have found out that your steering wheel is wiggling, there may be simple reasons why this is taking place. Either your steering fluid is filthy, or one of your wheels is not aligned correctly properly. Fixing this issue alone is really quite easy. Initially, you just have to take off your steering wheel. Next, replace the fluid, and tense up the linkage. As you do this, the wiggling in your steering wheel must stop.

While there are some minor problems that you can put off, you must get more serious things such as problems with tires, brakes and/or the electrical system repaired right away. The situation can be dangerous if a part breaks down that should have been replaced.
